Regulatory network established by transcription factors transmits drought stress signals in plant

چکیده
Abstract Plants are sessile organisms that evolve with a flexible signal transduction system in order to rapidly respond environmental changes. Drought, common abiotic stress, affects multiple plant developmental processes especially growth. In response drought an intricate hierarchical regulatory network is established survive from the extreme environment. The transcriptional regulation carried out by transcription factors (TFs) most important step for establishment of network. this review, we summarized almost all TFs have been reported participate tolerance (DT) plant. Totally 466 86 species mostly belong 11 families collected here. This demonstrates these main regulators DT. built direct protein-protein interaction or mutual TFs. receive upstream signals possibly via post-transcriptional and output downstream targets binding their promoters regulate gene expression.

Water scarcity is one of the major causes of poor plant performance and limited crop yields worldwide and it is the single most common cause of severe food shortage in developing countries. Several molecular networks involved in stress perception, signal transduction and stress responses in plants have been elucidated so far. Transcription factors are major players in water stress signaling. In...

Under drought stress condition, the signaling system induces expression of certain genes to counteract the deleterious effects of environmental stress. Among the essential micronutrients for plant growth and development, zinc has an important role in many plant metabolic processes including gene expression and stress tolerance. In order to investigate the effect of drought stress and ZnO on r...

We selected differentially expressed genes induced by cold, drought and salinity in the root and shoot of Arabidopsis seedlings, and up-regulated genes at different developmental stages with a method called Rank Products [2] (Figure 1). The microarray data were from AtGenExpress [4]. Using our genome-wide WordSpy motif algorithm [7, 8], we discovered many significant motifs. The expression rele...

Recent achievements in plant microRNA (miRNA), a large class of small and non-coding RNAs, are very exciting. A wide array of techniques involving forward genetic, molecular cloning, bioinformatic analysis, and the latest technology, deep sequencing have greatly advanced miRNA discovery. A tiny miRNA sequence has the ability to target single/multiple mRNA targets. Most of the miRNA targets are ...

Plants in their natural habitats adapt to drought stress in the environment through a variety of mechanisms, ranging from transient responses to low soil moisture to major survival mechanisms of escape by early flowering in absence of seasonal rainfall. However, crop plants selected by humans to yield products such as grain, vegetable, or fruit in favorable environments with high inputs of wate...
